New York: In the 19th league match of the T20 World Cup series, the India-Pakistan match, which was eagerly awaited by cricket fans, was held in New York City, USA. With rain delaying the start of the match, Pakistan won the toss and elected to bowl. Rohit Sharma started his action by hitting a six off Shakin Afridi in the first over.

In the second over, Kohli started the run count by hitting a boundary in his own cover drive, and in the same over, he gave a catch to Usman Khan and was dismissed for 4 runs. After this, Rohit tried to play a full shot on Shakin Afridi's ball and got out for 13 runs. Next, the pair of Punt and Axar Patel played in action. Mohammad Amir's 5th over punt for boundaries. Akshar hit a boundary in Iftikhar's over and Naseem Shah was desperate to hit a six and bolted for 20 runs.
Continuing his streak, Bund Raff hit a hat-trick of fours in the 9th over of the innings. At the other end, Suryakumar was out for 7 runs. Next Shivam Dubey was caught by Naseem Shah for 3 runs.

In the very next over, Bund Amir, who was the hope of the Indian team, was out for 42 runs as he wanted to hit a six over long-on unnecessarily in the over. Following this, Jadeja ducked out in the very next ball, and the Indian batsmen started to struggle. Pandya, who was expected to show action in the last overs, was disappointed by 7 runs and the Indian team was all out for 119 runs.

Babar Azam opened with a boundary for Pakistan who chased down an easy target. Shivam Dube missed an easy catch by Rizwan in the second over. But in the 4th over of the innings, Babur was caught at slip for 13 runs and Bumrah got out in the over. Next up Usman, Aksar is out lbw on spin.
Fakhar Saman hit a quick six and was dismissed for 13 runs. In the 14th over of Rizwan's innings, which was dangerous for the Indian team, Bumrah was bowled for 31 runs. This wicket turned the game in India's favor. After this, the Pakistani batsmen were unable to hit boundaries. Shatab Khan (4) and Iftikhar (5) who came next, followed by batting.

With 18 runs needed in the last over, Imad Wasim was dismissed for 15 off Arshdeep. Naseem Shah hit a boundary with 12 runs off the last two balls. With only 1 run scored in the last ball, India won the match by 6 runs. Bumrah gave away 14 runs and took 3 wickets.
Pakistan ended up winning the match easily with poor batting. Bumrah, like in the last 50-over World Cup, took the wicket of Rizwan and gave India the breakthrough.
