Arrangements are made for those who do not have voter card to vote with alternative documents

Chief Election Commissioner Rajeev Kumar announced that the 18th Lok Sabha elections will be held in 7 phases from April 19 to June 1, and along with the Lok Sabha elections, legislative assembly elections for 4 states will be held.

Accordingly the election rules were implemented throughout the country.

At this stage, all the parties including  Congress, DMK, AIADMK,BJP  are engaged in intensive campaigning for the elections.
In this case, arrangements have been made for those who do not have a voter card to vote with alternative documents.

The Election Commission has announced that:

Those who do not have voter ID card can vote with 12 documents, it said.

 Accordingly, it has been informed that one can vote by showing any of the following: Aadhaar Card, National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme Work ID Card, Bank/Post Book with Photo, Driving License, PAN Card, Passport, Pension Document with Photo, Identity Card of MPs/MLAs. .
