A surprising incident happened during the time of Imam Malik Ibnu Anas Rahimahullah, a woman died in Madinah.

Women gather together to bathe and shroud themselves in Janazah. Then a woman comes to that place.

"She's a whore!" She looks at Janasa and puts her hand on Janasa's back.

What a surprise! Her hand clings tightly to the back of the janaza. No matter how hard she tried, she could not remove her hand from Janaza's back.

All the women who came to bathe and shroud the Janaza try together. Couldn't move at all.

Matter spreads out. It goes to the ear of the then Governor of Madina. He immediately called the Aaleem together and asked, "What can be done about this?" He asks.

Asleems also present two different views.

1. It is a Maiyyid. Inanimate object. So we cut out a small portion from the back of the janaza and protect the woman's hand.

2. It is a Maiyyid. So don't make it sick! That's a sin! Let's cut off that girl's arm.

The governor is confused. "Do what?" He thinks that... suddenly clarity arises. "Let's go to Imam Malik Rahimahullah and ask for a fatwa," he said quickly.

Imam Malik (Rahimahullah) who came to know about the matter said:

"No part should be cut off from the janazah! And the woman's arm should not be amputated either! The woman has slandered the innocent woman who is the janazah, so the May'id is asking for her right. Immediately carry out the punishment of eighty lashes for slander. Insha'Allah, everything will be alright!"
 They said that.

Immediately, the woman was summoned. Flogging begins.

 Seventy-nine lashes were given. There is no change. The eightieth whipping. The arm attached to the backplate is separating. Subhanallah!

Blasphemy!!! One of the great sins. even more chaste; Slandering women who are innocent is even heavier in sin! If you don't ask for forgiveness from the person who has been defamed and don't do tauba, you will be defamed, destroyed and ruined in both worlds!
