“Make in India” is the right time - PM Modi… Commemorative stamps of five film legends released… WAVES Summit 2025…

Prime Minister Modi officially inaugurated the World Audiovisual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES) 2025 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai today. Modi also said that this is a historic moment for India's cultural and creative sectors.

At the conference, he released commemorative stamps in the names of five legends of Indian cinema, including renowned and transformative figures of Indian cinema, including producer Guru Dutt, actress P. Banumathi, director Raj Khosla, filmmaker Ritwik Khattak and music composer Salil Chowdhury.
WAVES will be a comprehensive showcase of films, OTT, gaming, comics, digital media, AI, AVGC-XR, broadcasting and emerging technologies. The four-day summit will be attended by over 10,000 delegates from over 90 countries, over 1,000 arts and content professionals, over 300 companies and 350 startups.
The summit will feature 42 plenary sessions, 39 breakout sessions, and 32 master classes covering a variety of disciplines including broadcast, infotainment, AVGC-XR, films, and digital media.
